Why we communicate, not market

01COMMUNICATE, DON’T PITCH

Information,
not a sales pitch.

Doctors and pharmacists tune out a pitch and lean in to accurate, useful information. So that’s what we make.

  1. Evidence first

Every claim traced to the approved product information and the literature.

  2. Approved before it’s shared

MCAZ approval or a SAHPRA rules check on every medicine piece.

  3. Useful to the reader

Information a professional can use, or a patient can act on.

02EVIDENCE THEY CAN USE

Pharma
to professionals.

FromPharmaceutical companiesToDoctors, pharmacists and nurses

Clear, referenced material that respects a professional’s time and judgement.

Visual aids

Detail aids and leave-behinds that a busy doctor can read in a minute. Every claim referenced.

  • Printed and tablet detail aids
  • Leave-behind leaflets
  • Product monographs
  • Conference posters

Videos

Short, accurate films for reps’ tablets, meetings and professional channels.

  • Mode-of-action animations
  • Product explainers
  • Expert interviews
  • Short clinical updates

Healthcare courses

Courses designed with academics: professors and PhD researchers in pharmacy and medicine.

  • Learning outcomes and modules
  • Case-based lessons
  • Assessments and certificates
  • Online or in person

Healthcare courses

Shaped by academics, not sales teams.

Professors and PhD researchers lead every course. MCAZ doesn’t allow educational activities to be used for promotion, and neither do we.

  • Set the learning outcomes
  • Check every source
  • Write the assessments
  • Keep it educational

06GOOD TO KNOW

Fair
questions.

How we keep communication accurate, approved and useful.

Why communications, not marketing?

Doctors and pharmacists switch off at a sales pitch. They lean in to accurate, useful information. So everything we make starts from the evidence and the approved product information, and is shaped around what the reader needs to know.

Can you promote a prescription medicine to the public?

No. Prescription medicines (Schedule 2 and above in South Africa) are communicated to doctors, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals only. Public content is for over-the-counter and complementary products, and general health education.

Does material for professionals need MCAZ approval?

Yes, in Zimbabwe. Promotional material for healthcare professionals goes to MCAZ before use: it must match the approved product information, carry the required product details and references, and is reviewed within 20 working days. We prepare the submission and only release the approved version.

Who designs the healthcare courses?

Academics: professors and PhD researchers in pharmacy, medicine and related fields. They set the learning outcomes, check the evidence and write the assessments. Courses stay educational; MCAZ does not allow scientific and educational activities to be used for promotion.

Do the courses earn CPD points?

CPD points are awarded by the relevant professional council, not by us. We design courses so they can be submitted for accreditation, and help prepare the submission.

What do videos for professionals look like?

Mode-of-action animations, product explainers, expert interviews and short clinical updates, made for reps’ tablets, meetings and professional channels. Each one is reviewed like any other promotional material.

How do you choose each month’s social media themes?

We forecast them. Our research combines health awareness days, the weather outlook, outbreak and government news, and buying moments like bonus season, then predicts what people will look for. Reserve one of those themes or ask for your own.

How is it priced?

Visual aids, videos and courses are quoted per project. Pharmacy social media runs on monthly plans from US$300. Websites are quoted after a short scoping call.

SAY IT CLEARLY. SAY IT RIGHT.

What do you need
to explain?

Tell us who you need to reach and what they should understand. We’ll suggest the right format.
